Project Brief
A project brief was created alongside the client to determine the requirements for this video, look/feel, and any restrictions to consider.
Storyboard
Since the project was focused on re-creating an already made video to be more retro and incorporate a stronger sence of depth, a storyboard was created using scenes made from the original video to maintain the story narrative and see which scenes needed to be enhanced or altered.
Creating the components
The video needed to include a tron-like environment and a car that is transformed from a broken junkyard-like vehicle into that of a modern TRON-like sports car. We first rendered the cars to make sure we’re constructing the correct vision and then began to build the world.
Attaching the Parts together
After a rough cut was created that did not have any sound design, but simply scenes stichted together and a background soundtrack selection by the client, our goal was to add sound design and effects to really bring that story to life. Goinng through each scene and their timestamps, I had sourced sound effects that would enhance the scene and share them with the editor ot make the magic happen.
End Result
The overall project took about 1 month to put together under a very tight turnaround time. The video needed to be rendered and compressed to play on social media, websites, and a larger screen for the annual Gartner Tech Expo. This would play as the opening video to introduce Tellius.
