Partzilla: The #1 place for parts and gear
After assisting with a previous projects involving this client, our tasks was to make sure all of the brand goals, guidelines, red flags, and project details were understood for this project. This project was the pioneer to expand the Partzilla brand into the video sector of their media development. Since Partzilla was already in production to create a series of Q&As for parts, we were tasked on developing a cohesive intro and outro that would tie the series together as well as other branded video work.
Understanding the brand & user
Partzilla serves as a hub for parts ranging from motocross sprockets to gear meant for street bike enthusiasts and racers. The brand wanted to bring the rugged and mechanic-like ambiance for their audience. Partzilla wanted to mimic the perception of a garage to fix up any bike and develop a community around the sport/activity. This lead to diving deep into the cogs and mechanics behind bike construction and what parts create familiarity with their audience.
The introduction had to begin with concept of having a wealth of parts offered by Partzilla and end with a professional touch to the knowledge.
Introduction Storyboard
Outro Storyboard
The concept for the introduction was to invoke an idea of “parts explosion,” to show the wealth of inventory Partzilla can offer, while also give a piece to brand awareness. With a quick introduction, this would wipe into the first scene of the video content.
For the outro, we aimed to continue the part explosion concept, but end with key visuals to transition the viewers into other potential content Partzilla has to offer. You can see that for this specific case, we were leading them into more Q&A content as well as a call-to-action of where to go.
what was the outcome?
Now live, the intro and outro serve as crucial part in branding all video content created and made life. The intro and outro play as a branded connecting piece when release video content on social media, YouTube, and Vimeo.
